Each year the Global Ministries Commission chooses a project to focus on for our VBS offering. This project is then the theme of our Mission Minded Kids’ lessons for the following year.

For 2008, our VBS/MMK project will be LAUNCH LIBERIA. The Global Ministries Commission is partnering with OMS International to launch a multi-pronged approach to aid our E.C. churches in Liberia. Funds will be used to start microenterprises for E.C. church members so they can support their families, to start a medical clinic which will become self-sufficient and serve the community at large, and to train church planters to go out and multiply the harvest of believers. 

Five minute VBS materials to use with your summer VBS program will be available by May, and MMK lesson materials dealing with Launch Liberia will be available this summer.

 Many thanks to those who helped make our 2007 VBS project a success - the Wilsons are now living in their village house. An updated DVD power point presentation with photos and music from the Wilsons is available from the Global Ministries office.

PROJECTS BOOKLET

Several of our missionaries have ‘hands-on’ projects that individuals or church groups can participate in. These include making special Christmas stockings for Joe Toy, Wordless Book beaded bracelets, baby shirts for Gloria Smethers, etc. If you would like to consider one of these projects, contact the Global Ministries office for a copy of the Projects Booklet. These booklets are updated every 2-3 years. You are responsible for all shipping charges to get the items to the missionary who has requested them.
