Pre-Conference Gettysburg Tour

As part of your National Conference experience, we are offering a tour of the Gettysburg Military Park, led by Tom Clegg on Tuesday, May 25. Tom is our keynote speaker, but he is also a very well versed student of the Civil War. He has led numerous tours of Gettysburg.

We can accommodate 20 people on the mini-tour bus that will leave Messiah College at 10:00 a.m. and return around 4:30. The cost will be $35/person on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cost includes transportation, a three hour tour of the battlegrounds and admission to the Visitor Center where you will have a pass to view the “Museum Experience” and the “Gettysburg Cyclorama”. A boxed lunch is also included. Fees are not refundable unless we can find someone else willing to take your place. You are encouraged to wear “old” shoes, since there is a good chance they will get dirty (muddy).

We can make arrangements for housing at Messiah on Monday, May 24 if you need it. No meals will be available in the college’s dining room.

See the special registration form for this tour.

LOVE FEAST/LORD’S SUPPER

This year at National Conference our Holy Communion service will be a Love Feast/Lord’s Supper experience. We will gather on Thursday evening around the tables in the dining hall for a special evening meal at which our guided conversation will be the “sermon” of the evening as we enjoy great food, fellowship, Scripture, some singing, and the opportunity to serve one another the Bread and the Cup of our Lord Jesus Christ.
